Walk for Westview

Today was Walk for Westview at the girls school. It was a fundraiser for the PTA and a time to teach the kids about a healthy lifestyle. The girls have been very excited about this event, even wanting to practice walking around the neighborhood so they would be ready for the big day. I was able to join them for the end of the walk (I had work this morning) and then I got to spend some time with them at school. It was fun to watch them work on their shape book, but it was even more fun to watch them play on the playground with their friends. It is on the playground where the girls different personalities really come out. Katie was constantly surrounded by 4 or more girls as she lead them in play, while Nel tended to alternate between playing on the monkey bars by herself or playing with just one other child at a time. Katie definitely likes to be in the thick of things, while Nel likes to be more quite and calm.
