Today is the first day of school!!! The girls and I are very happy that it is finally here, Chet not so much. He still wants it to be summer vacation so he can sleep in, notice in his picture his eyes are closed he hadn't really woken up yet. Also you may notice an extra person in the pictures, that is our newest family member Khim. She is an exchange student from Thailand who will be living with us for the year. This morning we celebrated the first day of school in our usual fashion with pancakes. The first time we did this I spelled out Chet's name, then when the girls joined us I just did the first letter of their names. Soon Chet also wanted his age, and this year the girls did too. I am not very good at this but it has become a tradition now. Then when breakfast is done we always take a picture of the kids on the fireplace.
How wonderful that you are hosting an exchange student from Thailand! Kyle and I are planning to do so once we have our kiddos home and grown up a bit, too.
